Just need a screwdriver.  You don't even need to separate the lower from your upper.  Just make sure you keep the safety detent/spring in its hole.

I found the easiest way to seat the bolt down in the hole in the pistol grip is I get some masking tape and tape the bolt to the screwdriver.  Get it started 2 turns and rip out the screwdriver.  Use needle nose to get the tape off.  Finish tightening.  Make sure detent spring is ok while doing all of this.

If your on a budget, I would suggest Primary Arms for a better quality red dot while still keeping the cost under $100.  I've had one of theirs for 5 years now and its still doing what it needs to do.

They also have some BCGs in stock for a pretty good price.

These guys are an industry partner and ship your items by the next day, typically.  And there customer service is top notch!

absolutely, will more than likely go through Primary for the red dot, they are who i got the lower, magazine, and fore grip through and was very pleased with the service and speed of delivery. For the BCG im going to look local before ordering online, want to avoid having to pay for shipping thanks for the heads up

I'd recommend watching the EE for a grip.  Every-once-in-a-while, someone posts something interesting for $10 or so shipped.
