Sweet, how did you do the de-anodize?

I found this you tube video:

De-Anodizing Alum.

Got the Greased Lightning at Lowes and ran it in my ulta sonic cleaner for about 2+ hours. The OLD anodizing was tough and a bitch to get off. But as you can see it came clean.

Planning on Anodizing this lower with a A3 flat top in a deep blue.

I am willing to bet the anodizing on those RC parts are just anodizing, not Hard Coat Anodize like the MIL-SPEC for AR parts.

Straight up anodizing is only like .0005" thick whereas this Hard Coat Anodize is .002".

That's probably why the YouTube video makes it look easy...

With the key mark, is that a Tactical Machining lower?

The key marks just indicate the forge where the lower was made. There actually aren't all to many forges.  my PSA has a key mark.  (I think it is Cerra?)

Did you have the vinyls printed somewhere or do you have your own set up?

I took the plunge and got the 12" sign cutter from US Sign Cutters.Seams to work pretty good. took me a while to get the art work figured out, but now that I do.....

These first 80%ers will NOT be the cheapest way to build an AR, but it is so fucking cool to do this myself....
