Thanks, crackedcornish. I'm also thinking that I won't use those handguards in the picture, because I've shined them up. I have an NOS set that is flat black and will match that pistol grip nicely. |

Agreed. I haven't checked there lately. They were good to me for my stuff. I also agree with not using the kit. Most of the fun is the hunt and anticipation of locating parts/accessories.
I have started my XM16E1 and looking forward to the next part. regards, Ralph |

For post 2800 I dedicate it to Plinkster's new AR build. I was looking through your parts and was hoping I could "pay it forward" with something that you need. But is looks like you have everything already that I would be able to give to you.
Wow! Thanks, cda! |

I am on the same boat as you are, man. You are a tad ahead of me, but I am catching up; have a small set of parts coming in to make the barrel assembly complete, including a duckbill flash hider with crush ring and the triangular handguard cap this week; this is what I have so far... http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a362/Sablelieger/Weapons/DSC00402.jpg (extra points for the ugly foot)
Oh, andf another thing... http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a362/Sablelieger/Weapons/DSC00403.jpg We shop in the same store too... FREAKY! ![]() I've been told that a lot of people look up to me, but the bed sheets man? Come on. ![]() It looks like you're ahead of me because you have a barrel and a bolt, both of which I lack. Are you going for a 602? I'm loving that shiny furniture! |

FREAKY! ![]() looks like both you fella's have a nice start on your projects. Black-Tiger when you are talking about using a "crush ring" are you referring to a crush washer? I'm sure you are aware that retro's used split washers and that the FH's don't require timing |

I managed to find an upper from one of those parts kits on the EE for $100 shipped, and I had a few parts left over from my previous build. I also have a type E stock on the way, and NoDak will be getting a call from me soon. I'm really excited about getting to search for parts again.
