Well it's almost done.  All i need now is a Troy Industries flip-up front sight and another sling attachment for the front (both on order) and it'll be done.  First groups off the bipod today (off of the bench) were not that great, but off of a sand bag they were in the 1/4-1/2" range at 100 yards.  I was getting some pretty good bipod bounce. Fit and finish are excellent.  One happy customer here.

I believe it is a Wilson stainless 1-8"twist  20".  POF does the "aggressive" fluting.  I know that he uses Wilson blanks on his other piston driven uppers, but mine was a special order.

Doesn't the POF Predator sit the BUIS too high?

I worked with the fixed  front sight that was shipped with the rifle.  I pretty sure it will work with flip-up front sight, but won't be able to give you a definitive answer till I get it on there.

The sights he is using will line up just fine, but they will be about a half inch higher than what they are supposed to be. The sights he is talking about, and all sights I am familiar with that you could possibly use, are designed to go on a rail that is the same height as the flat top upper receiver. This rail covers that surface completely, which means everything you mount will be higher. The scope isnt a big deal because you just use med. rings instead of high (as was done for this rifle), and now the scope is at the same level. But iron sights are supposed to be at a specific level on ARs and I have no idea if this will cause issues with getting a propper 50 yard zero or not. I suspect it will but have never tried it.

The standard predator rail leaves the last notch in the upper open for the rear sight. I just ordered/installed a P-9 rail on my beowulf and that was a concern of mine. They have a version that covers the entire rail (P-9X), but the regular one leaves room for a rear sight.

Nice pictures!
Happy to see your 20" S/S, "P-416" Gas Piston system with Silencer
performed so well shooting under 1/2 MOA.

Our patent pending "P-416" gas piston uppers have several mounting options.
You can mount sites on the Predator rail system or mount sites to the flat top upper
using the last slot and mount a flip up site on our gas-piston gas block.
Our gas block is the same height as the flat top upper. The choice is yours.

Were happy to see your happy with the fit and finish of our product, but most
of all happy to see your a satisfied customer.
Best regards,

Frank
