Well here it is guys, my first AR. With months of lurking in the shadows of this site, reading and rereading posts, I slowly changed my AR to my liking. It is finally complete (for now). I've always meant to post a picture but never actually took action on it. So here it is. Let me know what you think. Being a college student on a budget, I like to think it's nice. I'm in my 4th year of college and money is always a little tight. I can get by without a job but I figure 20 hours a week is more than enough to feed my ever growing addiction. The girlfriend is starting to accept BRD now at least. Maybe someday she'll catch it as well.

It shoots great. I've put around 1700 rounds through it. Shot about 1000 golden bear, 500 wolf and around 200 rounds of Winchester through it. Only time I've ever had a problem is after the wolf I started getting some FTE's. I will admit though that I was heating the barrel up quit a bit and she was a little gummed up. Just had to get out the ol' cleaning rod and ram them out. I get silver bear locally now and don't forsee going back to wolf. I wouldn't avoid wolf at all costs but I'd definately bring a ram rod if you plan on shooting a half case or so. I haven't properly sighted her in yet but she hits close to where I aim anyways. |
