I have never owned an AR and I finally took the plunge.  It is a Rock River lower with a no name upper.  I put it in the safe next to an empty spot.  Hopefully it will spawn another.  Here are the mandatory pics.

Nice carbine

They always spawn.  You'll decide you need a new BUIS, so you'll take your old off.

Well...now you've got a used rear BUIS with nothing for it to go on?  The answer is get another upper for long-range.  Of course, an upper without a lower is like Kool-aid without sugar.  And so on and so forth.

you're screwed.

What do you mean, "a no name upper" - they all come from somewhere and have a name.

For instance: mine came from a Big Brown Truck, and her name is Betsy.

Nice looking rifle. Enjoy.

All I know is it has an ER Shaw barrel.  There is what looks like an Omega symbol on the right side of the upper.  The T-marks on the top rail are not white, they blend in with the rail.  No M4 feed ramps in the upper or barrel extension.  I picked it up at a fun show.  I kinda figured this would end up an addication.  Oh well, can't take all that money with me.

how are the triple G covers on the Eotech? I have not heard good or bad of them.

The covers installed easily and work as advertised.  They snap closed and take a little force to flip up.  The force necessary will more than likely ease up with more use.  Good design as far as I am concerned.  I just wanted them to protect the glass from my gruby fingers.
