Well last week I bought my first AR-15. It's a Bushmaster XM15-E2S. Got it for $845 brand new. Not sure if that was a decent price but I'm fine with it. I went to a gunshow saturday and purchased a UTG 4-point stock and bought a couple mags.It shoots pretty good. I used Wolf Military Classic .223.

Probably a fine price given the current climate.
Congratulations. Enjoy it. Stay away from that Wolff ammo, and clean the hell out if that barrel every few rounds for the first 50 rounds or so. It will increase the accuracy potential of the gun in the long run. And thanks for doing your civic duty by getting your rifle. |

If I'm cleaning the rifle regularly I see no reason to not shoot it. |
| I also just bought my first AR, picked it up today. I got a DPMS A-15 flat top. I have had it on layaway for about a month paid $899. During that time, I read some posts that said not to purchase a DPMS with a serial # that ends in K, when I picked mine up today I checked and sure enough, it ends in K. So, how bad is this? I am really just counting myself lucky to have one at this point, in my area it is nearly impossible to find an AR of any kind, so when I found it I jumped on it. I will try to figure out how to post pics later and get some up on here. |

A Chromelined barrel will probably not see any real benefit from it though. |
