First off, I want to thank you ahead of time for any advice or reviews you can lend.
I am looking to purchase my first AR and looking for a great all around rifle with good value for my dollar. The two I have been seriously considering are the Daniel Defense M4V11 and the LaRue Tactical PredatAR in 5.56. If you have any suggestions on which of the two you feel are better, and why, I would appreciate it. Also open to other comparable rifles of good quality. The price point on these rifles are very similar and I am open to spend a little more if necessary, just looking for input to help with making my first purchase a great one! Thanks! |

I was looking for my first AR a couple years ago and after doing an exhaustive amount of research I went with Spikes. I ordered the ST-15 16"Mid-length LE w/12" S.A.R. for $1,258.I ordered it with the Spike's Nickel Boron HPT/MPI M16 BCG (5.56) for an additional $75. The only thing I would consider in addition to that would be the Spike's Battle Trigger for $60. Spikes = quality and great customer service and a good price. Of course prices and opinions will vary but this is what I decided on and i am extremely happy with my choice. I added Troy battle sights, a Vortex Spark red dot and an Inforce WMLx 500 light. I enjoy shooting this rifle. I typically shoot at the range 50 and 100 yards. Very accurate. Most shots in or just outside the center dot of the target. I'll be getting a 3x9 scope soon to shoot at 300 yards and beyond. Good luck with your search! |

But it is a particularly good choice as a first rifle as it is great quality and frees up alot of would be" KAC "money for ammo ,optics and training. |
