[ARCHIVED THREAD] - My first born...

Started buying Colt parts on the EE a couple months ago. Colt A2 upper receiver, Colt 6721 HBAR, Colt guts in the lower, Colt M16 bolt and carrier, only thing on this carbine that isn't Colt is the Doublestar lower receiver. Total cost $655. Put 500 rounds of M855 through it on Tuesday. Runs like a champ. I like. Wadda ya think?

I prefer flat top uppers personally but still nice gun!

Very nice, but get the Colt receiver! (this is coming from a guy who doesn't have a single Colt part for anything).

Looks like a shooter. It is a nice kiss gun. Do you have any plans to mod it?

I had a kiss gun once. It didn't stay that way long.

I purposely built it simple, to stay simple. I may paint it with Krylon at some point though.
