Ok, here it is my first build, finished last night. Del-Ton M4 barrel kit LAR upper and lower Parts from all over the internet and the EE. Total cost about $550 All new except for the bolt carrier. I have already shot the upper. Am looking forward to shooting it as a compete rifle.  This is my first pic posting. Hope it comes out right. Wow, I've always been pretty handy and this was very simple, but I'm proud of myself. |

Really nice build and I envy your ability to find deals. It is really too bad that Armalite did not start with a 16 inch barrel instead of the 20 inch. Then we would have ammo that would function and perform from the 16 inch gun, which is far easier to work with. The AR just looks so right with a 16 inch tube and coll stock. If only someone would give us a AUG type upper with a low power (1.5 to 2.0) optical sight already built into the carry handle. |
