Planning to order a complete kit from PSA. 16" mid length premium upper etc. Price is $549.99.
I think I can muddle through the assembly, but I'm concerned about headspace. Don't have any gauges. Is this generally a problem with these kits? If bolt closes.. Am I OK? Info appreciated.. |

I don't think you need to worry about that but if you really are concerned with it, cal PSA and clarify it with them. |

I have assembled app. 6 ARs. I have not head spaced 1 yet. I am not saying you shouldn't headspace check your build. But unless you have a worn out barrel extension or bolt, mil spec parts should be GTG. Has anyone who has headspaced an AR platform ever found 1 that did not pass?

I have built over three dozen ARs and I have never had any headspace issues. I have used old M16 upper receivers with old original M16 barrels, new uppers with new barrels, new BCGs with old barrels, old BCGs with old barrels, and new BCGs with new barrels. Never an issue. |
