Ok I know I have asked about barrels before but I am just trying to narrow it down to my best option. My goal is to make my Ar more accurate and and to get rid of the m4 profile as it doesn't fit the style of my rifle. After doing research I have decided to stay with 16" but step up to a heavier profile and upgrade to a mid length gas system, 1/8 twist and a .223 wylde chamber. Anybody make a barrel that are within these specs ?
I may settle for the 5.56 1/9 mid gas heavy profile Rock River barrel and send it to Adco for a golf ball treatment or to Accurate if they can do that...

If you have any opinions or better suggestions I sure would appreciate the input. I would like to get my rifle shooting 1 moa or better...

those are all great options.

I would like to ask what ammo you are currently using for accuracy tests?  Also what barrel do you currently have and what is it grouping for 10 round groups?

Rainier Match, Rainier UltraMatch, White Oak Armament come to mind, twist on one of those may be 1/7.  BCM has theirs, there's also the Noveske Recce, Palmetto State Armory had one listed but I don't see it now (they may just be sold out).  There's a lot of makers out there within the specs you've listed.  I have the BCM and the Noveske lightweight stainless in 16" and a White Oak 18" SPR barrel, and am very happy with all 3.  I have a Rainier Match 16" here that I haven't completed the assembly of the upper yet, but I'm not worried about it yet.  I'd say find the one of these that fits your budget and buy with confidence.

I've got an 11.5" SS from globaltactical.com (denny's guns) VCQB that is definitely my tack driver.  I reload most of my ammo with 90% of it being match ammo.  I'm almost 1 MOA (at my best) with 10 rd groups, and ragged hole 20rd at about 2.5 MOA.

black hills 52gr match/bthp has been good, as well as any good bthp match ammo black hills makes.  There are other options, but the ammo forum is full of information.

Nice, I should have made it clear that I was asking to OP though, for a baseline so we can get a comparision going with what he has currently with what he can get.

I have a 16" m4 profile 1/9 non chrome Del Ton barrel made by Mossberg I run American Eagle 55gr fmj I average 3.5 to 4 moa @ 100 yards... I ran some Black Hills 62gr and got consistent 3.3 moa but I wont better than that.

Maybe an 18" Wilson barrel or Ranier SELECT barrel (little cheaper than a MATCH) of some type..??

The Rainer Select barrel is nice.  I have a 16 inch and the quality is apparent.
