So I have built my lower and ordered an upper full do I have to put any oil or grease anywhere before shooting it?

Most manufacturers ship complete uppers that are already lubricated and test-fired.

If yours shows up dry, disassemble the bolt, lube lightly with CLP, wipe off any excess, reassemble and go shooting.

i've done a few AR builds now and theres a few things i always do now.
first before you shoot inspect the wepon. look for any lose or missing parts and if you can check the headspace, most good dealers do this but some say in the small print to have it checked by a gunsmith before shooting.
next i give it a light cleaning and lube everything. make sure to run a patch down the bore.
ok now your ready to head to the range. i bring a cleaning kit with me and clean and lube after 10 then 30 and 60 shots by then any problems have been found and you'll only have to clean it when you feel the need. now some people will say you don't need to clean it that much but its not jest cleaning your inspecting to see if theres any problems like walking pins or lose parts. and for the first few shots use clean factory loaded brass and check them after you fire you can any problems with your chamber that way.
good luck and have fun i hope this helps.
