Please forgive the noob question. I'm ordering my first ar this week and I'm going to need mags. I looked for the answer to this question but couldn't find the answer.

The british SA-80 steel mags have black followers. Do they need to be upgraged to the Green ones? I thought I read somewhere that that british black were the same as the US Green?

Can't say for sure what you may get, but the SA80 mags I received from [url]www.ammoman.com[/url] had followers that, although black in color [b]were identical in dimensions to the green followers[/b], I had.

Correct. The british mags have "green" followers painted black. They are the same thing (they have the anti-tilt leg in the front).

Thanks for your help. I think these mags are just what I need right now. (Ordering RRA ar, need mags and ammo and Uncle Sams refund check only goes so far.
