Can’t help with the ID questions, but the fact that I run my VHS sized PEQ at the same position as those dudes makes me feel good

Maybe the optic is a commercial Leupold with non-target turrets?  Like a VX-3 2.5-8.

The Horrigan recce had an oddball scope on it iirc.

Okay you convinced me 24 ordered and should be here in a week. Stupid that you can’t 2 day ship cause of the battery lol.

Gonna keep the unimount though probably cause I hate how far back you have to run it when using standard rings with the Wilcox T2 mount

Kinda what it looks like.  The turrets seem very short but I may just suck at vision.

It’s a Wilcox Nightforce top ring. Hard to get now, onyx arms makes some reproductions but they haven’t in a while and they don’t seem to be doing much anymore.

It's kinda funny how popular that mount is considering we have only seen one rifle with it. Obviously the T1 is superior to the Jpoint and MRDS but the mounts getting made are by far and away way more common on these rifles.

I mean searching for a micro footprint optic vs an MRDS one probably drives that. But I have a MRDS waiting for these mounts to get produced.

Bravo. The only bad thing about having too many Insight MRDS rings is getting scopes to put them on.

To add to Jon's description, the commercial MPW's had a different barrel than the ones the Navy got. The Navy barrel had a tapered shoulder and 9/16 thread to fit the direct thread suppressor mentioned by Jon.

What length would that rail have been and is there any chance of finding one?  I have a commercial (I guess) AAC 12.5 upper but it currently has their SquareDrop rail on it and a 51T.

The 10.75” URX 3.1. I don’t think they received any with square drop, but I can’t confirm that.

As for finding one… it’s very hard. Your best bet is to get your current barrel reprofiled to fit the suppressor. The suppressor will be the most difficult to find  since it was never commercially available and all that got out are spoken for. So you’d have to convince someone to sell you theirs.

Unrelated, but any idea on when those dudes are gonna release the MRDS repro mounts?  My wallet is ready.

I hope I’m asking these questions in the right thread and not clogging it up.
Would the receiver have been a Colt one or an AAC marked one?  Colt or AAC lower?
Have any of you all cloned this?  Is there a build sheet/list?
I appreciate y'all taking time to answer my questions.

Last I heard the mounts were at the manufacturer pending when they can put them in queue. If you’re on instagram, Weapons of Socom will also make a post about them once they are ready for sale.

All AAC, upper and lower. There is no official build list. These were trial guns essentially, Wilson combat was also trialed but haven’t seen any pictures of those. I heard on a podcast that Kevin B. stated the Navy bought uppers (9 & 12.5) and eventually purchased full guns with suppressors. These guns were still in use, but now that noveske has won the contract, these will probably see less use (my opinion)

Robert at High End armament won it. Sold for $10k. From having spoken with someone who knows Robert, the man has nearly unlimited funds. There was no beating him. But for the 4 hours where I was top bidder, I felt good.
