[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Narrow front sight post?

The stock front sight post on my carbine AR is about .072 wide. I see that KNS offers a .034 and a .052 width post as a replacement. Does anyone use these for longer range?

I make my own thinner FSP’s.

The .052 works just fine on a 16" gun. You get the same sight picture as a 20".
