I am looking for an A2 stock or maybe it's an A1 length to start but it has a thumb wheel which allows a length of pull adjustment.

I have seen pictures of it in the past and never bothered to ask who makes them. It's a basic A1/A2 style stock with a slot cut vertically about an inch from the butt of the stock that adjusts a slim recoil pad on 2 rams that run in and out of the stock.  I'm building a new precision AR and I don't want to use a PRS on this one but I really like adjustable lengths of pull.

Is it a Knights part? I have searched google and can't come up with anything.

That's hard core old school AR gear there

Just about to post that.

Sure is expensive, though.

Whoa
damn - they're proud of their stuff. That's close but that looks like you lock in the LOP with a hex headed bolt on the right side of the stock.

the one I saw had a slot all the way through with an aluminum wheel that screws the butt in and out. Damn I wish i could find a pic of that thing.

If you want an adjustable rifle length stock, it's going be tough to beat the Magpul PRS.

$460

That's flippin ridiculous, I don't care how nice it is.  A PRS goes for $200-$250, and has a cheek weld adjustment also.

DPMS, Bushmaster, and a bunch of parts stores have them for $299, but I think you'd be nuts to get anything but the PRS.

Thanks! That's pretty close but again I'm surprised at the price.

I have a couple PRSs and like them ok but they're heavy and the comb adjustment is not needed in my opinion.

I'm still in the market for something. My MK12 project is wrapping up and I'd love to go with an A2 that has some adjustment to it.  Thank for any more ideas

Well Knight's Armament has the M110 stock. http://www.knightarmco.com/shop2/index.php?productID=297

Since it's  a Mark 12, have you thought about a LMT SOPMOD? I've seen them on some Mark 12 clones and they look great.

edit: Already posted, never mind.

You know that's not a half bad idea on the SOPMOD. It's adjustable, light, not a lot of slop and the cheek weld is second to none compared to other carbine stocks and even rifle stocks.  Hmmmmmmmmm

I think the military Mk 12 rifles use the SOPMOD too.

A less expensive item.

David Tubb (at least, he does for sure) sells an adjustable butt plate that you can install in your A2 stock:

Tubb's Adjustable Stock Plate

So, if you already have an A2, you're set at $115, otherwise add another $30 or so to that.
