I am starting a new build, my current build I have an FN 16" CHF Chrome Moly Barrel in 1:7 twist w/ carbine length gas system.

I couldn't be happier with the FN barrel, so I would like to stick with FN if possible for this next build.

I'm looking for an FN 16" CHF Chrome Moly in 1:8 twist with a mid length gas system. And i've searched and searched and searched some more. Can't find one, don't even know if such a thing even exists.

So if anyone knows where I can find one or suggest a suitable replacement, I'm all about it.

No 1:8s. Closest you'll find... http://www.riflegear.com/p-2001-fn-16-midlength-17-twist-chf-barrel-556.aspx

1:7 only, most likely.

The mandrel for CHF is expensive and 1:7 is the usual spec

Does fn make 1:8?

1:8 twist may be hard if not impossible to find.  I have a Spikes barrel made by FN that is CHF, 1:7 twist, and mid length gas I could not be happier with it over all.

May not happen with FN. If you're open to other great barrel's though, you will have many more options.

Just trying something new, and was curious if twist rates actually effect accuracy with lighter grain bullets like say. And if so 1:8 is a good in between

Contacted FN they advised they do not make that barrel in 1:8 only in a 1:7.

link to upper

It was posted in stock twice, waiting for it to come back, hoping it wasn't a clerical error.
