The index pin is just pressed in, so its easy to remove; even when snapped off.
I normally just use a point type sharpened tool (have a nail set that I have sharpened to a point that I use for a scribe from time to time that works well for this) to punch in to the side of the broken off pin to get a light bite on it, then wedge it up out of the channel via the top of the barrel extension to hammer tap in a new pin. Here is a replacement barrel extension pin, http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/barrel-parts/rifle-barrel-hardware/barrel-nuts/barrel-extension-pin-prod17535.aspx If removing the broken pin is beyond you, then at least pick up a new barrel extension pin, and see if someone local (or gun smith) to you can give you hand at popping the old broken pin out so you can tap in the new barrel extension pin. |

Check this thread out. Probably not very helpful but you might get something out of it:

| Thank you very much for the help gentleman. Dano, had a buddy confirm exactly what you said and he agreed to just buy the barrel off of me and fix it himself for another build. Great advice and great research Black! Thanks again! I'd still like to know who makes that barrel if only to add to the confirmed marking list. |
