I got a DNTC comp from a buddy and I've never put one on. I had assumed that the side that read, "AK Concepts" was the 'top.' But when I tried to screw it on, there was NO WAY that the crush washer would 'crush' enough to allow for the writing to face upwards. When I looked at pictures of the comp, it always seems to be oriented the way it is in the picture below. Is the area that I am pointing at (in the picture) the 'top' of the comp and should it be facing skyward (straight up)? If so, then the "AK Concepts" that's laser-etched into the comp will be facing the ground. I figured the maker's mark would be oriented to face up where it could be easily seen.

| Installed correctly there is a logo at the 12:00 position. Also you need a peel washer to properly clock the brake, you may get lucky with a crush washer but it's not likely. A peel washer when heated seperates into thin section that allow you to make the washer thinner allowing you to turn the brake until it is clocked correctly. In the photo that is the top. |
