| Hello. I want to modify a couple of my PMAG 30's into 20 rounders. I don't like the straight 20 round PMAGS. There used to be a thread showing how someone did this. Could someone provide me with a link? Thanks. |

If you did modify it, it would be more than 20 or less than 20. I think it would be a 22 rounder or an 18 rounder. Or you could go shorter and make a 12 rounder. They have to be cut at one of the horizontal ribs in order for the base plate to reattach properly. There are some pics in this thread of a modified Pmag. It doesn't look that hard if you have the right tools. www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=124&t=160232 |

Be forewarned, the rib width is not the same as the bottom lip the base/floor slips on, so the mag will come apart if dropped...as the bse is not fully engaging and holding I cut two of them, dropped tested in the grass and flew apart loaded with rounds.... Measre with a caliper or micrometer....there is a difference So I had to super glue the mag bases on and these are now in my range mag pile.... Just received 10 of the 20's in the mail and these are outstanding.....I like them a whole bunch 77 |
