I'm leaving for Army BCT in four days and I have a nice chunk of change coming to me when I'm done and want to purchase my first weapon. I'v been doing looking into as many guns as I can for the past couple of months but I need some ideas on a nice solid complete rifle. Been thinking about the LMT MRP piston defender 16. Any ideas?

You can't go wrong with a LMT.
I'm not a fan of piston powered ARs but a lot of folks around here are.
My only real beef is the bolt carrier isn't designed for the torque created by the OP rod.
