I am looking at the Leupold M4 scopes and I dont see the logic behind a M il Dot reticle and MOA adjustment knobs....I have been reading a lot on the subject and when you look at US Optics, their reticle scaling matchs the knob, or at least that is what they recommend...am I missing something....

Thanks,

the M2 knobs are 1/2 moa clicks and the M1 target knobs are 1/4 moa clicks. This is on the MRT midrange tactical scope line. On the long range LT/T the elevation only is  1 moa.  That does seem stupid.

Welcome of a majority of American target scopes.  Matching knobs/reticle have always been a luxury, and only recently have more scope makers decided to make things easier.

I'm hoping Leupold jumps on the bandwagon soon. They do offer one matching mil/mil system, but they decided to use 1/20th mil clicks instead of the much easier and more common 1/10th mil clicks.
