For my DelTon midlength upper - I've decided either BCM or Daniel Defense.

Whish should it be?

if those are your 2 options then pick which logo you like best.  they are equal.

I personally think the BCM logo sucks balls, so yeah out of those 2 i would pick the DD.

Flip a coin. They are both very high quality.

Fail Zero if you want to have a very low maintenance BCG that works awesome.  It's a little more money but the lack of having to lube the heck out of your gun is well worth it.

I couldnt agree more, and for that reason alone, I will spend my money someware else. You can buy there parts and build one without there logo, but why... could try and call them and say "Build me one without the logo and see where it  gets you.

I agree with ya on this why BCM has to plaster their name in big tacky letters all over is beyond me. Looks like crap I dont care if its the best made if I cant stand to look at it.

It's the reason I didn't by a Vltor VIS complete upper from them.  To plaster BCM on a Vltor uppper is not cool.

Sportsmans Guide has DPMS BCG for $129.99.

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?p=WX2&i=129394

If you are a member, the price drops to $116.97.  You can always find a $10 off coupon for them online.  So for $106.97, I think my next BCG will be a DPMS.

IF there are any better deals on name brand BCGs, I'd like to know.

DPMS is no bargain. I'd go Daniel Defense or BCM, even Spikes. I paid $125 for DD, that's a bargain!

I went with the Daniel Defense from AIM - seemed like a good deal, and if I don't send money to AIM for something every month I worry about them.

Where did you get a Nickel Boron BCG for $175? That's what the hard chromed ones go for.

i was expecting a bravo company love fest on this thread. imagine my suprize when i see b.c.m. and the term sucks balls in the same sentence. when did the tide change? did i miss something? before today i figured everybody on this forum had b.c.m. embroydered on their care bears. who will we all hug now?! i for one still like em, and i dig the logo, but not all over every component of my rifle. that point i will agree too.

meh.. ive always stated that BCM makes quality stuff but if i have an option for equal quality i will choose another company everytime just because of that logo.  Its ridiculous.

Thankfully except for the Gunfighter i haven't had to resort to buying anything BCM branded yet.  I do shop with them, but only for parts without the logo.  With that said i would like to reiterate... that if of my options BCM had the best quality item in my price range i would buy BCM... logo or not.

If you want a really nice "pimped" bcg you could get a YM NM bcg with a denny's ionbond bolt.

I have a RRA chrome bcg on order, on sale for 130.  Ill let you know the quality when it arrives

I know OP has already made his choice, but I would stick to high quality stuff, and avoid any "match" parts.  I have never seen any proof that such parts contribute one iota to accuracy, they only make the fit tighter between parts, which can contribute to unreliable functioning.

I would go BCM, LaRue, Spikes, DD, etc.

DPMS does not make a bolt on the same quality level as the brands listed. They will work, but considering they run nearly the same price as high end, they are a poor investment. Especially when you consider they are rougher, and have had reported issues with poor gas key staking in the past.

ETA:  here is an example...  Comparing ~$105 to $130 for this, there is no contest:

Anyone have pictures to compare of the gas key stacking between BCM, DD. and Spikes?

If it is a warranty issue place the logo 90 degrees so it is on the top of the bcg.... still have a logo but not visible..... done and done.  I hate giving free advertising to anyone...... No Dealer sticker on my automobiles..... hate the dealer stickers on my rifles.....  on the otherhand I will buy quality even with the logo.... so thats why I own.... BCM's
