Here is the problem.  I have a prestine (98%) preban colt match H-bar.  All I have done to it is put A-1 style triangular style hand gaurds (I still have the originals).  I hate to butcher this rifle into a M-4 style preban weapon.  Basically I want two guns, one like I have, but post ban and one preban flat top M-4 style with all the evil features.  What should I do?  Sell the colt and buy a preban and post ban lower and build two rifles?  Keep the colt and build a second AR to mimick it, then convert it to an M-4?  Convert my preban upper into a post-ban and then build two rifles?  I need help and soon as the gun shows are coming.

I would build a post-ban to match the first rifle, and then build the first rifle into the M-4.
