| I have an Armalite Super SASS on the way but I'm not sure what scope to put on it. I've looked at a ton of different scopes and still have no clue what to do. I've decided not to spend too much on one right now. I'm looking to go under $1000 (hopefully upgrade to a nightforce or something better in a couple years) and have a variable magnification maxing between 14 and 20. I've found a few reasonable priced scopes by Burris (black diamond, xtr, tac 30, Vortex (viper hs and pst), and Leupold Mark series although they are more than $1000. I'm working on getting into long distance target shooting but would also be using it for varmint and hog hunting. I'd love to hear any opinions and appreciate any advice. Thanks! |
| You may want to check out the Weaver Tactical model. One of my co-workers has one and its been a solid performer on his LR-308 SASS. 3-15x magnification, side focus, target turrets, first focal plane Mil-Dot reticle, and under $700. |
