| I am looking for a .223/5.56 bare barrel (ie. no sights or gas block) with M4 cuts, mid length, .750 gas block diameter, black phosphate, threaded for flash supressor. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |
| Price range is $200-$350. This is my first build and I am mating the barrel to an Aero Precision upper and lower. Looking for a good quality semi bull barrel. Quality is main concern. I want to be able to use both 5.56 and ,223 ammo. Any suggestions/info is welcome. |

The throat dimension fall right in between the .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO and will safely allow the use of 5.56 nato ammo while still giving you tighter tolerances for increased accuracy with match loads. What do you mean by semi-bull? Bull barrels generally have a larger diameter at the gasport, .936 versus .750. Are you thinking heavy barrel? |
| Yes a heavy barrel. I do not want a pencil thin barrel. I have seen several barrels that would work (ie. Rock River, White Oak) but they are in stainless where I am looking for black phosphate. The build is based in an Aero Precision lower with DPMS lower kit and a Aero Precision upper. I still have to decide on a barrel and frontend. I am wanting to use a Quad Rail mid length free float tube and a low profile gas block. Any suggestions on any of this? |
