I am looking for a compact rifle scope with at least 4X magnification (variable is ok)  that is less than 9" long.  I like the looks of some of the Barska, NcStar, Leapers offerings, but I am worried about the quality.  I am willing to spend up to $200.  Any suggestions?

The Weaver is not 4X's and the Leupold is well over $200
but thank you for the response

the weaver is an awesome scope for the money....and you can find the VX I 1-4x pretty cheap if you look. Definetly lower than $200.

Burris 4x-20mm,  8.4 inches long @ $149    opticsplanet

Burris 2-7x 26mm, 9.5 inches long @ $160 opticsplanet

Neither scope has an illuminated reticle, but the 2-7x can be ordered with a duplex or a BDC BallisticPlex.  I have the 2-7x and the glass is very clear and bright.

Is it the one listed as shotgun/muzzleloader ?

Edit- just saw the Burris 3-9X32 timberline for $119 - may have to go over 9"
