Hi guys looking to get an ar but can't decide if I want to get a carbine or a middy. I know this topic has come up before and I have read that the middy is the better way to go, but I am planning on using magpul for my handguard and to me the mid length with magpul looks really bad, so I figured I would just go to a carbine but I am worried that with the carbine that there will be too much mussle flip. I plan on getting my upper from BCM and BCM gives you a free mod 0 comp. with a purchase of one of there uppers, but I am wondering if that will be enough to allow quick follow up shots without my muzzle flying everywhere.
-Thanks in advance. P.S. Was also wondering why the military/law enforcement use carbine length if mid length is better? Oh and this would be for a 16". |

Since none of the smart guys have answered your questions....I'll answer a couple.
They use the carbine because they feel it is a more reliable (stronger) gas signal to cycle the gun more reliably. I like the middy system better. I feel it is a bit softer and allows nice follow up shots. I would rather choose different furniture as apposed to going with the carbine system. |

Sorry OverScoped - No offense meant towards you. You made a comment - no answers provided. I should have been less opaque. |
