[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need help!

Sorry but I'm a complete newb on tactical lights. Heading back east tomorrow to visit family and hang with my older brother to see the NCAA Division 1 wrestling championships down in Philadelphia. His birthday is also Sunday and I've been torn on what to get him, it dawned on me just today that he could probably use a tactical flashlight as he just bought an M4 style AR15. My budget is $100 or less and we have a Cabelas in town here. I went to their web sight and there's just too much to pilfer through. I'm not buying a mount, he can supply that later if he wants, only the light. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

another vote for the surefire. I have both
the 6p and the E2D and either will be fine.
