Just looking for input as to what brand is considered the best all around trigger....This will be going into my Armalite M15A4- it's not a match gun and I don't do any informal or formal competitions with it, I'm basically trying to build an "accurized" service rifle.  I was looking at the CMC unit, tho it's pretty close to my $200 price cap.    It seems to me that the big advantage with it is that it's pretty much just "drop in".  I was also looking at bushmaster's 2-stage trigger, which is cheaper, although that one would require conventional installation.  I've never installed a FCG either, so that's something to consider.
Thanks for the replies

Get a Rock River NM two-stage and send it to White Oak Precision for their tune up.  That would be your most cost effective option.

If you want the very best, get one of these.

WARNING:  If you get a geissele, you may very easily bumpfire your AR.  While thrilling, it'll make you go at the same time.

Jewel all the way. The Geiselle have a great reputation also, but after the first time I shot a Jewel I've never wanted anything else.

These Match triggers can be a bit TOO light for a regular duty or plinker type gun, in which case maybe the RRA NM would be a better choice.

But for my $, its jewel all the way.

ETA: Don't worry about installing a FCG, its not difficult and requires no special tools.

This sucks.

For a Mk12 Mod 0 clone that I wanna build.

KAC 2 stage is authentic. Yet. I've never used one.

Jewell is nice as hell. I've used it. But I don't think it was ever used in a military build.

And Gieselle seems to be everyones favorite. Any proof that this trigger(the Gieselle) is actually replacing the KAC's on military rifles???

I keep hearing this rumor.

Anyway. Those are the 3 that I am seriously torn on....

If you want to be worrying about your trigger adjustments moving on you, then Jewell all the way.

RRA has no adjustments to move, and Geissele is engineered so that adjustments stay.

BTW, I do have a Jewell two stage in a bolt gun, but that is a totally different design than their AR trigger and suffers none of the shortcomings.

+1

Fact: Geisseles are replacing KACs on US Army SDM-Rs as they come back to the AMU gun shop for maintenance.

Searching brother. What am I looking for? Maybe I'm just "dis-oriented"...lol

And thanks for the fast shipping on that #40 BUIS.

I'm blown away with what you do

Everything you wanted to know about 2-stage triggers   thread, page 7

The US Army Marksmanship Unit has begun technical inspections of the 3rd Infantry Division's 275 M16A4 Designated Marksman Rifles now that they have returned from Iraq and have enjoyed their 30-day leave.

The results will surprise the Army -- on the GOOD side.

Our inspections are again showing that the Knight trigger has enough durability issues (even though it is a very low density National Stock Number item) that the Geissele trigger may indeed be the way forward in the evolution of the Army's M16A4 DM Rifle.

Not to go into too many details until we get a look at the other 3/4s of the rifles, but the red Lock-tite we used on the screws held in all instances. On first report for this batch of rifles, either the Knight trigger's metallurgy or surface hardening is its weak area.

Thanks for the replies guys, looks like i'll probably go with the RRA unit...seems to be the best bang for my buck and it won't be overkill for my intended use.

Very interesting.  I hope "Christine", my 1 of those 275, likes her new trigger!  The KAC never did her wrong.
