I did a search and came up empty.
I was trying to find one of the many posts about what is the best barrel twist rate for different weight ammo.

"1x7 - technically too tight of a twist for any .224 bullet widely available, including the 80 gr. Manufactured originally to stabilize SS109 and/or tracer ammo, but further military testing has shown other twists to be superior. Some of the very heavy custom stuff (87 gr?) may work well, but why????"

Is this true? 1x7 twist is too fast for M855? Why is the military using it then?

Not True,

I have shot 40gr ballistic tip all the way to 77gr hpbt through my 1in7 barrel with no problems at all.
