One of my brother's (RIP Repete) guns is set up like it should go on a vehicle mount, with a thumb activated trigger. Can anyone shed light on this for me?

Dunno why, I'm just trying to inventory all his guns for auction. My guess is he planned to put a mount on a military style jeep.
