it could be steel core, its definately going to have corrosive primers.


Open it?  meh....depends what you have in mind, would be a shame to plink it away.

1st pic is 7.62x39 for sure. 2nd pic I'm going with 7.62 x 25 , the markings don't look like any 7.62x39 I've been able to find.

open the chicom tin first then...if its the same vintage as the German case it might be steel core 7.62x39 as well.

1360 (pieces) rounds of
7.62 (cartridge) M43

or 1360 rds of 762x39mm, corrosive primed, steel core.

WHY open it you don't need to?  Google it and find pictures of it- leave it sealed.
You could sell it at premium right now.
