I would like to put some 45 degree offset sights on my rifle (DPMS Oracle).  It has a Vortex Strikefire on it and I plan on using it for awhile for 3 gun and would like offset sights in case the battery goes out.  Can you suggest some at reasonable prices?  I see some such as Diamondhead, which I am sure are wonderful, but I would rather not spend that kind of money (nor would my wife like me to) and some really cheap ones at less than $30.  I once thought I saw some around $80 but can't find them now.  The XS are not too expensive.  I have a set on my carry gun and really like them, but I am not sure they would be great on a rifle.  Any ideas?

Why do you have offset sights on your pistol?

Oh.  Not what I meant.  I have XS sights on my carry gun (Colt CCO), but not offset, just mounted normally.  What I meant was that I really like the XS sights on a carry gun, but I am not sure that the XS system would work well for a rifle, offset or normal.  Would like to hear from people that use them, though.

The least expensive backups I would recommend, from direct experience are magpul MBUS.  Which run under $90 a set. They aren't offset, they aren't the right height for your gas block.

The oracle makes life difficult in that it has a lower railed gas block that will require either a riser or a specific height metal front.

If you real use is 3 gun, with a red dot, you can replace the battery every match and still be ahead of the game for years.
