I just purchased a brand new drop-in Timney trigger and I think it is missing parts.

According to the instructions there are supposed to be screws already installed in the trigger that I tighten before screwing in set screws on top of them. These appear to be absent?

The instructions say there are supposed to be little screws in these holes?

I looked through all the packaging and this is all that remains (besides a sticker and some instructions):

Those are the set screws though, right?

Is it possible I have somehow lost them? Do they just fall out? Obviously I will be on the phone with Timney tomorrow, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making some kind of idiot mistake first.

Yes, those are the set screws.

Drop the long end of the wrench through the top of the channels so the tip of the allen wrench is protruding below the trigger group, put a set screw on the allen wrench socket side up on the wrench, and working to make sure not to cross thread the treads, thread the set screws in the channels so the tip of the screws are semi flush to the bottom of the housing.

Now with the FCG housing installed into the lower with the trigger and hammer pins, you will tighten the screws downward against the bottom of the lower receiver cavity, which will wedge the housing upwards against the pins to retain the pins in the lower receiver, and the FCG tight in the lower receiver cavity.

If you want to use some loctite, don't go buck wild and only use Blue 242 loctite.   Hence thread the installed screws down so you have about 1 wind of thread showing below the bottom of the housing, add a light touch of loctite to the single threads on each set screw, then thread the screws back up into the channel so the tip if flush again with the bottom of the housing.  Hence this will apply just enough Blue locktite to the last of bottom threads to hold the screws in place, but not enough that its going to be a bear to remove the set screws down the line instead.

According to the directions there is supposed to be a set already installed and then I put the loose screws in on top of it. Have they changed this since they've printed the directions or something? Hopefully Timney gets back to me today and we can get to the bottom of this...

I finally got in contact with Timney. They are over-nighting me the missing screws. I'm glad I wasn't just crazy.
