I just picked up a Primary arms Microdot for my 9mm AR pistol/future SBR. I need a mount for it to bring it above my buis. I have seen some that say 1/3 co-witness. Whats the difference in absolute and co-witness. Any suggestions are appreciated

Absolute cowitness has the dot line up with iron sights in the center of the optic, lower 1/3 has the iron sights in the bottom of the optic or lower 1/3 of the optic window and the dot only lines up with the irons when you look through them.

Gotcha. Sounds like I want an absolute witness. What are some reputable brands to check out?

American Defense is the only Aimpoint T1 style I have used and it worked well.

Three are some finer points to the advantages and disadvantages of absolute and lower 1/3 cowitness that I don't have time to discuss. The article linked above has a good picture of comparison and some info on the two.
