I finally started to build up my Arfcom billet lower and want to do the push pin set screw mod but I can't find any info on the mod. I'd like to either buy the kit or just get the tap and go from there. Any help is greatly appreciated.

4-40 tap and 4-40x1/4 set screw, cut 1/4" off of your detent spring, lowes has the tap with a drill bit for $5 {dont use the drill bit}, and they have ss set screws for $0.18 cut the spring with a snip
I put some oil in the hole and on the tap, then just screw it 3/4 way in, then uncrew, I put my finger in the receiver and cover the inside takedown hole and blow in the outside hole it blows all the shavings out the back threaded hole... Then cut the spring, and install it like normal except you screw in the set screw.. |
