First let me say that as the owner of two AR15A2 rifles I thought I had the basics down. I was wrong when it comes to flat tops. About 6 months ago I built my first flat top ran out of money so I found some mag pul BUS and been using them ever since. My upper is a AA piston 16" with a mid lengh gas block. And yes my plastic sight is setting on top of the gas block and has not melted yet. My optic is a Vortic strikefire, that I am very happy with. I was able to zero my sights at 100. The front post is pretty high but it works. Now that I am ready to put some steel sights on it my question is, do I need a front sight for a gas block or a pic rail.
Also am in the middle of another build. Addax 14.5" GPU, what size front BUS will it need. Optic for it will be a ACOG 4X32. |
