[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need suggestions

I'm ready to purchase an AR-15 Pistol, but I'm not sure what name brand to go with. How does the group feel about about Rock River Arms? I really like the LAR-15 with the 10 1/2" barrel. Any other manf's out there with a 10 1/2" barrel thats better quality, or should I buy a particular complete upper and lower from different Manf's to have a quality peice?

take a look at spikes as well. if you buy the lower and upper separately you save the federal excise tax that is put on a complete weapon.

The only thing I dislike with the RRA is the magwells are a bit tight.

I always build mine from stripped lowers & add Spikes pistol buffer tubes w/foam pad.

As far as 10 1/2" uppers, I would look at Noveske, LMT, & Spikes. Also BCM, but they only do an 11 1/2". Daniel Defense is also making a 10.3", but it looks like it's big $$.

Spikes does look good for the money. BCM, or Noveske that much better? Hate to buy twice.
