Doing a build for a friend here. I have all the components for the lower, but we are trying to decide on a complete upper. This will be his first AR and he's not looking to spend a fortune. Would like to have a few options to offer him under $800. So far I've got 2 Spike's Tactical models and the M&P15T upper on the list. I'm having a hard time sourcing something in this price range. All of my previous builds have BCM or DD uppers.

- 14.5" barrel preferred (16" OAL), but 16" is okay
- M4 feedramps
- M16 BCG & milspec charging handle
- Must have quad-rail or key-mod (either drop in or free-float)
- Mid Length gas system
- 1:7 or 1:8 barrel twist

Would prefer something with low-pro gas block and not F-marked front sight post/block

Thanks!

I would look at BCM but given what you want $600 could be tough, your best bet will be PSA for a complete upper

DSARMS  give them a call and see what they have in stock or you may have to wait a bit but there quality for the price is hard 2 beat. i bought 2 complete uppers with BCGs and charge handles a year or so back both for less than $800  and they were 1/7 twist with chrome lined bore. PSA is another as already mentioned.
