I just received a new bolt carrier group from a vendor that advertises on this forum. I am a little concerned. The BCG is suppose to be a LMT MPI. It was delivered wrapped only in some bubble wrap. There are no marking on it to specify what it really is.

Should there be or is there any way to be sure that I actually received what I ordered?

Thanks!

LMT carriers come wrapped in bubble wrap.
Usually it's a bubble wrap bag with a self adhesive flap.
The carrier is placed to one side of the bag, then the flap is stuck closed.
Then they roll up the whole bag and wrap 3" wide clear packing tape around it.

Is that what you got?

If so, remove the bolt from the carrier.
There should be a small MP stamp as well as a single letter to denote the lot code.

Check under the extractor and you should find a crane o-ring on the extractor spring.
Also, there is a radial relief behind the lugs that is not on most other bolts.
You would have to have two types of bolts in front of you to see what I mean.

If all that checks out, you have a genuine LMT.

There are no other marks to identify it otherwise.
