Sorry for the newbish question but im working on my first build and found out today that the RRA barrel i ordered is on backorder for 60-90 days What would be a good barrel to get instead of the RRA? im looking for 16" mid-length preferbly chrome-lined. thanks in advance for your help

Del-Ton sells heavy midlength barrels, but I don't know if they are in stock.

CMMG has the gov't profile midlengths. They also have lightweight middies in the 14.5" length. I would stay away from their current 16" lightweight middy, it has a 1/12 twist rate.

ETA: do you have any of the upper parts? you can always get a complete upper. Some people will have these in stock in a common configuration.

i have every part i need to build my rifle other than the barrel and the lower parts kit which are both on back order (parts kit is from brownells). most everything is RRA and all came within a week of the order.

I kinda like the barrels from Denny's Guns.

The postman just delivered me a nice SS 18" that looks sweet. I also ordered from him the tiiiiight 16" Chrome Lined Stainless Steel Middy. I LOVE it. But I don't think he sells it anymore.
