| Okay, I received my first 'real' red-dot sight today, the new shorter XPS2-0. Mounted it on my Colt 6721. Took it out on the back deck and put a chamber laser in it and pointed the carbine at the white side of my shed about 50' away. Turned on the EOtech and reduced power until I could barely see the red dot, and there was the laser dot right on center and about 1" below the red dot. Great - now I can go to the range and be very close with the first shot at 25 yds. Assuming the EOtech was set dead in the center of it's adjustments, this result says a lot about this particular carbine in that it's put together right - the bore is lined up with the upper receiver. I was wondering about that because it has been out for barrel work which involved taking the barrel out. Looks like ADCO knows how to put them back together. So, I'm now really looking forward to sighting this thing in and getting used to it. |
| You'll like your little EO. I picked up 2 of the XPX's a couple weeks ago to suppliment my older 557's and 512's (and my ACOGs). I played Barbie and swapped them around to maximize rail space - the XPS is great for limited real estate, and I really like the sideways-mounted battery. |
