New to the forum and hope this is the right place to post this.   I just stopped in a local shop and the dealer was showing off a new handguard(rail system) which incorporated a grip type feature forward of the magazine.  I swear he said the manufaturer was "Growler" but I have not been able to find this.  He also stated he saw it at Shot Show.  The promo stated this system was developed due to the habit of people using the mag to steady the rifle vs. the handguard.  I may have the company name wrong, but the information was ration interesting.  Anyone have any ideas?

Based on what saw, it doesn't look like it.  This appeared to be a complete system (i.e. built in with the handguard/rail).  It appeared to sorta wrap around the front of the magazine, sticking forward slightly.  He stated the suggested cost was around $400.00.  Since I was not listening fully, I probally hvave the manufacturer's name wrong.  The shop is in Asheboro, NC and I am checking to see if they have a web page.  So far though, no luck on finding additional info on the hanguard..
