I am a benchrest competitor. I just bought this DPMS rifle to play around with. It won't compete with benchrest rifles. The trigger on this DPMS is worse than horrible. DPMS is trying to sell me the JP adjustable #LR-39 which only goes down to 3 lbs.

Midway and Brownell's have the same trigger for much cheaper. Matter of fact, they have lots of triggers available from different manufacturers. I understand with the LR .260, some triggers will work and some won't. Midway and Brownell's say they all work. AArgh!!!!!!

I want a trigger in the .5 ounce to 1.0 pound pull range. One or two stage makes no difference.

Please give me a recommendation.
Thank you, Dale McClure

Your not going to get a 1/2 to 1lb trigger in an AR type rifle. The best compromise is a geissele 2 stage with a light second stage. They are expensive but the best trigger out there.

I don't know if they work in the LR260's

.5 ounce?

anyway, i don't think anyone goes that light for any ar15 style rifle.    you will probably be lucky to get a 2 pound one, i think they are out there.

I'm sorry I made a mistake. I meant 5 ounces to 1.5 lbs.

Very sorry, Dale
