Hey everyone, name's Dave. I'm new around here. Just wanted to introduce and show off my first AR. Thanks!
DD 16" MidLength M4V5 Complete Slick Top LW Barrel Magpul MOE Grip/Stock/Mag Magpul BUS Front/Rear Flip Up Magpul AVG EOTech 517 Shoots like a dream so far! Only thing I plan to add to it will be a BCM Mod 4 Charging Handle and a Tac Light. Welcome aboard, and way to come strong with posting pics of your AR with your first post. Seems like you know your stuff pretty well. This place is a great resource if you know how to work it. Spend the $24 on a Team Membership, the search function alone is worth it, plus you get access to the Team Forum and BOTD  .
If you're going to play in GD make sure you have thick skin. There are plenty of chuckleheads in here but there is also no shortage of amazing and genuine people that will help you with whatever you need. One last thing. Beware of the penguins. |

That said, and this is a VERY small thing, but I would recommend moving your rear sight back to the last slot on your top rail. It'll give you a longer sight radius. Also, what light do you plan on getting? |

I figured if I was gonna buy an AR it might as well be a decent one. Living in GA, it's easy to score a DD from the local dealers around here.. so didn't have to wait for it long. And thanks for the tip on the rear sight, I'll definitely slide it back. And as far as lights go, I've been looking at the SureFire X300, StreamLight TLR-1s and the Insight Tech M3X. Haven't made up my mind on one yet, money is always tight, and I can't seem to justify the light purchase over more mags and ammo! 6 Pmags, 3 Aluminum (Were given to me by friend) and about 800 rounds so far! Bought the AR about 2 months ago. Totally strung out to the black rifle life now. Again, thanks for the welcome everyone! |
