Hello guys!  I am new around here but thought I would share.  Yesterday I ordered a new RRA Entry Tactical flattop with an upgrade to the RRA free float quad rails.  I feel I got a really good deal as a LEO.  I won't say where I ordered from but I am getting the Entry Tactical along with the upgrade and a magpul flip up rear sight all shipped for $1,000 even.  I really think this is more then a fair price and will be patiently awaiting its arrival.  I asked how far behind RRA is running on orders because I had heard 22-24 weeks but was assured they have caught up somewhat and are now running 10-12 weeks or less.  My wife is still complaining about the $1,000 but she will get over it.

I am so excited that when I was at a nearby gun show yesterday I picked up a couple of the black PMags w/ window for $15 each.  Not a bad deal on those at the time either.  My plan is to eventually add a nice sling and foregrip to be followed by optics.  The rep who sold the Entry Tactical to me is sending me some paperwork from Eotech where they sell one of their sights (might be the 557 series) and 3x magnifier to LEO who are also firearms instructors for their state for $500.  I am praying that is accurate because that is one sweet deal.  Will let you guys know and try to post some picks of my new kid when it arrives!

Enjoy the new toy. Beware, it probably will not be alone for long. BRD is terribly addictive. There are people who do not prefer Rock River rifles, but mostly they are GTG. Buy a lot of ammo and read a lot. You are in the right place to learn. Sounds like a good price as opposed to last year. The Entry Tactical rifles my friends own are good shooters, just keep it wet and get the wife ready for more expense(s) to come.
You'll also get mixed oppinions on eotech optics, the price is right, but keep looking as that option is not right for everyone (altho you are the one that matters). So many choices

I just put a PK Firearms RR lightweight 16" with YHM Diamond free float together this week.  I took it to the range on Friday and put 60 rds through it.  I can't tell the difference between it and my 6940 as far as accuracy goes, they are both excellent!  This is my second RR, the first is a 26" Varminter.  I think you will be happy with it!

Thanks for the replies.  I recently got a hornady lock n load ap to reload for my various handguns but now it looks like I am going to set up for 223 as well.  Hopefully that will increase my range time without terribly decreasing the thickness of my wallet.  I was considering building an AR from scratch with one of the RRA CAR4 kits but when it came down to it, it would have cost me the same or more and I would not have gotten their lifetime warranty like I will with a complete firearm.  The Entry Tactical has a few nicer upgrades anyways that I would have eventually had to buy and add on to the kit so in all honesty its probably cheaper in the long run.

I am not sure why someone would not like RRA they are loved by every AR owner I know.  I talked to quite a few people before making my selection and the 2 rifles it kept coming down to were an RRA or a Stag.  DPMS was also a consideration but I was warned away from Bushmaster and generally speaking I could not find a decent price on a Colt or S&W.  I know there are still plenty other manufacturer's out there, but these are the most readily available for me to check out in this area.  When it came down to it, buying the Entry Tactical only made sense to me.

Congratulations on going with RRA. Adding up everything it features, reliability, ruggedness, fit and FINISH along with accuracy, you won't be sorry. Before the internet came along to tell satisfied RRA shooters they were all wrong and with a 'chart' to tell them why, it was regarded as a dependable workhorse.
