I recently bought a Colt LE6920, and like it a lot.

While zeroing it in, I realized my 65 year old eyes just weren't that good past 50 yards.

I was at a gun show today and picked up a Ijk Optics Co, 2-6x281 scope for $150.
To my chagrin, there was no manual in the box when I got home.
2-6x is probably a good magnification because I can see the bulls eye clearly with my 7x binoculars.

I figured most of it out except for two things:
 1. I can't find an On - Off switch, so I just took the battery out.
Do most scopes usually have a switch?
Should I just leave the battery in all the time?

 2.  I really can't figure out the RGB, Illum switch.
No matter how I set it, it looks the same.  At least all positions look good.

I will need some range time to see the best way to mount it.
With a handle mount, it's a little high, has no cheek weld, but retains the iron sights.
Mounted on the rail, it's a little low, the front sight is at the top instead of the bottom, and I lose the rear iron sight.

Is there such thing as a spacer to raise it a little?

No one here has any answers ???

The area where you took out the battery should also turn to adjust the illumination as well. Cheaper optics can be tight in that area, so try turning it clockwise so the battery cover doesn't spin instead.

Thanks, that helped me answer both questions.

The dial is labeled:   R123G123B123
I was setting it to R, G, or B - no color.
When I started rotating it, I learned that 1,2,3 increased the illumination and R,G,B turned it off.  That's how to turn it off and conserve the battery.

As for a "riser", I found a 1" riser on Amazon and ordered it.

Those things would be easier if an instruction sheet was in the box.

I got the 1" riser today and mounted the scope in place of the handle/rear iron sight.  It fits almost perfect.
Without the riser I had to tilt my head, and the front sight filled the entire scope, blocking the target.

There's really no way to mount a BUIS with it, as it can't look through the magnified scope.  I'd have to remove the scope to use it.
I don't think a low profile sight will work with the M4 Tower type front sight.
I can probably swap the scope for the original handle/rear sight in under 30 seconds anyway.

I tried mounting the scope on top of the handle, but had no cheek weld, and it strained my neck.

I'll get it sighted/zeroed in this week.  I'm trying to decide between 50 and 100 yards.
