Don't forget to mention the price increase!

I think it's a nice price for a 1-4. Granted you can go with a millet or grsc but on the other end you have the short dot k-dot us optic and NF all above the Trijicon. I think it'll be competative.

We have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts

Ye are all the children of light, and the {children} of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

I love Trijicon!

Does anyone know anything about the MCOG's???

How big is that thing? I can't tell..... is it a DR Optic sized little sucker or a big boy like an EoTech or something? I'm hoping for something like an EoTech sized unit with the fiber.... and a chevron or a donut.

That would be bad assed!

They already came out with the Big sized one.. Trijicon RX30. I have one on my LMT and it is awesome.. all the fixes the older relfex sights had have been put into the new RX30-23 and it is one nice sight. no need to worry about it braking all the time like a Eotech or the short battery life like the EoTech or the.. nvm. but yeah the small reflex sights are a little to small for my taste as a main sight.. if obama does not ban guns right away and all this AR backorder stuff stops.. I will pick up anoher LMT so I can have the TA44s. I love my TA31F and my RX30-23 and I feel there will always been room on my credit cards for the new mini ACOG.. Trijicon is just owning up the optic market, they have the best 4x optic for the AR (TA31F) the best Reflex sight for the AR (RX30-23) and the best scopes for high powered target rifles and now new cool stuff to buy just cuz they are that good..

Anyone know their scriptures?  Trijicon has a tradition of engraving Bible Verse on the side of their ACOG's and it looks like they are doing it on the MCOG as well.  Can someone look up TH5:5 and PE1:19?  That is what seems to be marked on both the MCOG examples.

Th 5:5

For all of you are children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to darkness.

Pe 1:19

And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

^^actually this one is 2 Peter 1:19...I assume its the one they meant it to represent...1 Peter 1:19 isnt along the same lines...I was thinking the ones they were referring to both mention "light"

I like Trijicon's Reflex 30 and there new Mini red dots.. everyone else makes like 2 moa or 4 moa dots.. I mean Reflex sights are made for fast shooting and CQB.. and on my Reflex 30 it is so much easyer to see the dot then on a Aimpoint or EoTech, you just pick it up so much faster and with the 6.5 MOA dot I can still get good groups at 100 yards but I would rather use my ACOG at 100 yards and use the CQ sight for.. well CQ... I get the same groups at 50 yards with my Reflex 30 as I do with a Aimpoint with a smaller MOA dot, Trijicon is really ahead of the game.. I mean there ACOG is still the #1 battle optic made and there Reflex 30 seems to be like its going to be very long lived.. I just need to get 1 more AR-15 so I can put a TA44s on it and I will be good to go. but right now my main prob is I need to find a LMT lower damn obama, everything would be fine right now if he was not going to rune such a good sport, well he already has..

When precision is the only option, your best option is the Trijicon RMRâ„¢ Sight. Built to provide optimum red-dot visibility against the target, you can acquire and hit your target quickly and more accurately.

The new Trijicon RMR™ (Ruggedized Miniature Reflex) has been introduced to match the legendary toughness of the Trijicon ACOG® (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight).

It can be teamed up with the ACOG® or AccuPoint® for the ultimate in fast target acquisition or precise aiming at extended distances.

The RMR™ offers two illumination configurations. One choice is an innovative LED (light emitting diode) insert that automatically adjusts for brightness in any lighting situation and ensures optimum visibility of dot against the target. The second option is a dual-illuminated, battery-free model featuring Trijicon fiber optics and tritium. Accuracy is further enhanced with adjustments for windage and elevation and clarity is assured with the sight’s ultra-clear, hard-coated lens.

I thought this thing was larger this whole time

Being small might not be so bad...just wasnt what i was expecting

[#28]
I think it is bigger than the pictures lead you to believe.  It probably is not as small as their MRD but smaller than their full sized reflex II.  I would bet almost in between but a little on the smaller side.  If I am correct I must have one with the fiber optic/tritium combo to replace my T-1 Micro that is on the side of my 3-gun rifle and then I can put the T-1 on my shotgun.

MadDog

ETA: Here is a picture of the rifle it would go on.  It would be perfect where the T-1 is.

What happens if mud, dirt or snow gets into the light source channel?  The great thing about the tube design is it's fully enclosed and has so such concerns.

Use your pistol. Honestly to me back up optics should really be back up to your secondary weapon. At least my mind works quicker to grab a pistol than use flip ups or the secondary red dot. Guess it's all how you train and how far you're shooting.

On the Trijicon site, it says its only a mm or two larger than the doctor...which is pretty small...and the pictures corroborate this

Id like to see it on an AR though

either way, they seem like pretty nice optics...Ive just got to figure out what role it would play for me (primary, secondary, etc)

I have a 14" Remy 870 SBS that has a pretty old (about 12 years) Trijicon Reflex II mounted.  I guess when these new MCOG's come out I will have to retire the old reflex.

It's the same size as a Docter or the Trijicon MRD.

I love the new donut and lime green reticles, but the TR24 doesn't live up to the hype.  The TR21 has an issue with slight distortion at low magnfication, and the TR24 appears to be worse.  Frankly, the Millett DMS-1 looks to have better quality glass at half the cost.

maybe im blind...i still cant find the price or a release date

EDIT: i went to midway and found this RMR not sure how accurate that is but it is cheaper than then older model which is always a plus!
1/19/2009 2:15:28 PM EDT
[#38]
I don't believe there is a release date yet and it is hard to say it will be cheaper than the older model, because there is "no" older model.  The RMR is a completely "new" beast.

MadDog

ETA: I just noticed your link and the RMR is priced (if they in fact sell it for that price) better then their mini red-dot.  However, I purchased a Trijicon mini red-dot for $289 at Optics Planet.

LOL did you even pick it up and look through it? seams many more say a lot better things of it than you, d do you even know how to use a scope. there is ) distortion on that glass you are either blind or were still silly hungover from hooters party

there is no  issue with the tr24 when focused and adjusted to users eyes as all optics that have any type of power settings do its clear as a clear can be from edge to edge  i sat there played with it and looked through it  on several guns at shot and have used that same scope in live fire in many different postions from sbu rollover supine modified sbu and more

but again stick to your millet as i know for a fact the glass is cheaper and not even on par with the trijicon as i know what glass is used in each.... sounds more like your cheap  and really want to only bash them  since you cant/or wont buy one..

The RMR will not be available until late March to early April.  Lets just hope Trijicon is not like Magpul/Bushmaster or FN with release dates and year long push backs or more.

They have not set a retail price or MAP yet.  Trijicon said a price list should come in the next two weeks.

The site looks great.  Trijicon is known for quality so i'm confident this won't be any different.

I am currently buying a TA31F and the RMR dual illum will be on top of it.  This set up will beat an Aimpoint with magnifyer any day.
